NORTON SHORES–The Muskegon Lady Big Reds came from behind on Friday and edged Mona Shores 48-45 in an OK-Green matchup.

With the win, the Big Reds finished the season with a 15-7 overall record and a 12-2 league record. They finished second in the league race, one game behind Reeths-Puffer.

The Sailors finish the regular season with a 12-10 overall record, 7-7 record in league play.

Muskegon and Mona Shores ended up in an 11-all at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Big Reds defense put the clamps on the Sailors offense in the second quarter and outscored Mona Shores 14-4. Muskegon led 25-15 at the half.

Back came Mona Shores in the third period and controlled the Muskegon offense and took a 32-31 lead after three quarters.

The Lady Big Reds came from behind in the final eight minutes with a 17-13 scoring advantage to secure the win.

Ty’Veonna Davis led Muskegon with 14 points and Mariah Sain tossed in 12 points.

Katie Phillips led Mona Shores with a game high 15 points. Lauren Phillips tossed in 10 points while Ali Phillips scored seven.
