NORTON SHORES–Mona Shores senior Jacob Nanna is taking his talents in hockey and lacrosse to the next level. Nanna recently signed his national letter of intent to attend Hope College in Holland.

Nanna was a four-year varsity starter at Mona Shores in both sports.

During his four years on the hockey team, Nanna played forward, and on the lacrosse team, he played at the attack forward position.

In hockey, Nanna reached the 100-point milestone earlier this season.

All-Conference teams have yet to be announced for this hockey season, however, Nanna was selected to the all-conference teams during both his sophomore and junior seasons. He was also selected to the all-conference team during his junior season in lacrosse.

“I have been around Hope College for a long time and have always been drawn to the school and campus,” said Nanna. “I foresee myself playing at both sports next year as well as being a team player and helping our team reach success.”

Hope College is a Division III College and a member of the MIAA conference in lacrosse. Hope participates in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).

Nanna, the son of Tony Nanna and Lisa Carlson, plans to major in business and minor in communications. He has a 3.09 grade point average at Shores.

“I have been blessed with the opportunity to play for Mona Shores as it has given me some of the best friendships I could have ever asked for,” said Nanna.
