LAKEVIEW — The visiting Kent City Eagles raced off to a big lead early on and coasted to a 65-38 boys’ basketball victory over Lakeview.

Kent City led 18-3 after one quarter and 28-15 at the half. The Eagles outscored Lakeview 37-23 in the second half.

Freshman Aaron Vanderwest led Kent City with 16 points. Dylan Sutton added 15 points and six assists while Seth Vanderwest had 14 points and 12 rebounds.

“We got off to a good start and then coasted home,” Kent City coach Dave Ingles said. “We still struggled from the line, going 8-for-20.”

The Eagles will compete in the CSAA Tournament next week against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.
