MUSKEGON — For three quarters, the Kent City Eagles struggled mightily against the Orchard View Cardinals.

In fact, they trailed 11-6 after one quarter, 19-14 at the half and 28-27 after three quarters.

But, in the fourth quarter, Kent City came alive with a 23-4 scoring advantage and defeated the host Cardinals 50-32.

“We stumbled through the first half,” Eagle coach Dave Ingles said. “In the second half, the guys really picked it up on defense and executed on offense.”

Will Harrison led Kent City with 16 points and Jaret Jaramillo added 13. Dylan Sutton added 13 points, 11 of which came in the fourth quarter.

Kent City (8-6, 5-2) hosts Central Montcalm on Friday.

Orchard View (2-13, 1-6) hosts Manistee on Thursday in league play.
