SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central’s girls rebounded nicely from a loss at Hart in its last game.

On Tuesday, the Spartans posted a convincing 50-33 victory over visiting Whitehall.

Mason County Central finished the first quarter with a 17-9 lead and outscored the Vikings 8-6 in the second. MCC took a 26-15 lead into the half.
 
The Spartans stretched their lead to 17 points, 40-23, after three quarters.
 
Wren Nelson recorded a double-double for the Spartans with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Mallory Miller contributed nine points and Charlie Banks added seven.
 
Ashley Tenbrink paced the Vikings with 12 points. Autumn Ferris and Lianne Fagan added six points apiece.
 
The Spartans (15-3, 8-2) hosts Shelby Thursday night in a West Michigan Conference Rivers Division game.
 
Whitehall (10-9, 3-7) returns to WMC Rivers action Thursday night at home against the Fremont Packers.
