LUDINGTON — Ludington snapped a two-game losing streak Tuesday night with a convincing 54-20 girls’ basketball victory over visiting Whitehall in Hawley Gymnasium.

The Orioles maintained their hold on first place in the West Michigan Conference Lakes Division by establishing early command with a 15-6 first quarter. Ludington held the Vikings to four points in the second quarter and took a 19-10 halftime lead.
 
Continuing their smothering defense in the second half, the Orioles limited the Vikings to just four points while pouring in 19 to build a 38-14 cushion after three periods.
 
Emma McKinley led the Orioles in scoring with 13 points, while Keelyn Laird contributed 10. Annie Kline added nine, Karli Meysar eight and Olivia Lynn seven.
 
Ludington (12-5, 9-1) travels to Manistee on Friday night.
