Nash III scores 30 in Jayhawks loss to Bay College

MUSKEGON–The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team hosted league-leading Bay College on Saturday and came out on the wrong end of a 74-55 decision.

The Norse, from Escanaba, determined the outcome of the game in the first half as they raced out to a commanding 47-26 lead. They were never threatened by the Jayhawks in the second half although MCC outscored Bay College, 29-27.

Vern Nash III led the Jayhawks with 30 points. Jacob May and Logan Manciu each tossed in seven points. Manciu grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Jadakiss Lewis scored five points while dishing out five assists and hauling down four rebounds.

The Jayhawks (9-16, 3-8) will host Mid-Michigan College on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
