Ravenna makes quick work of Muskegon Catholic in girls basketball

MUSKEGON — The Ravenna Bulldogs jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 50-19 victory over the host Muskegon Catholic Crusaders.

The Bulldogs led 15-2 after one quarter and 23-7 at the half. Ravenna outscored Catholic 27-12 in the second half.

Emily Postema and Kara Postema led Ravenna with eight points each.

Carrie Ladd and Claire LaVigne had six points each to lead Muskegon Catholic.

Ravenna (7-11, 3-7) hosts White Cloud on Tuesday.

Muskegon Catholic (5-12, 1-4) is at Wyoming Lee on Tuesday.
