ZEELAND — The Reeths-Puffer Rockets maintained their spot atop the OK-Green standings on Tuesday night.

It took some fourth-quarter heroics before the Rockets earned a 42-38 victory over Zeeland East. Puffer trailed by two points at the end of three quarters.

The Rockets trailed 7-6 after one quarter and 18-15 the half. It was 32-30 heading into the final quarter.

Sophia Hekkema led Reeths-Puffer with 13 points, including three 3-pointers. Billie Tryska added 10 points and six rebounds. Irelyn Niklasch had eight rebounds. Brooklyn Tornes also had a solid game with nine points, four assists and four steals.

Maddie Schuur (24 points) and Rachel Miller (14 points) scored all of Zeeland East’s points.

Reeths-Puffer (14-5, 10-1) returns to action on Friday with a game at Zeeland West.
