RAVENNA- In a hard-fought, non-conference battle on Tuesday evening, the Oakridge boys team came from behind to Ravenna to pull out a 58-53 win.

Oakridge, which trailed at halftime, had a balanced scoring attack. Peyton Ruel led the way with a game-high 18 points. Ruel also dished out eight assists. Evan Miller tossed in 12 points while Matt Danicek scored 10 points.

Oakridge held a 10-8 lead after the first quarter, but Ravenna outscored the Eagles 18-13 during the second quarter and took a 26-23 halftime lead.

Oakridge managed to tie it at 33-all by the end of the third period then held the upper hand by a margin of 25-20 during the final eight minutes to secure the win.

Ty Maitland and Michael Wambaugh led Oakridge with seven rebounds apiece while Evan Jozsa grabbed five rebounds.

Carter Schullo led Ravenna with 15 points. Hunter Hogan tossed in 12 points. Schullo also led the Bulldogs with nine rebounds.

Oakridge (9-10, 5-5) is scheduled to travel to Whitehall on Thursday.

Ravenna (6-14, 5-6) is scheduled to travel to Hesperia on Thursday.
