WYOMING–Freshman guard Mariah Sain scored 19 points on Friday evening and the Muskegon Lady Big Reds held on for a 50-44 OK Conference-Green victory over the Wyoming Wolves.

Muskegon got off to a solid start in the first half as they jumped out to a 13-8 lead after one quarter and led 25-12 at the end of the first half.

The Wolves came back with a strong third period and outscored Muskegon 15-9 to narrow the Lady Big Reds’ lead to 34-27 going into the fourth quarter. Although Wyoming held a slim 17-16 scoring edge during the final eight minutes, Muskegon held on for the victory.

Aaliyah Winston tossed in nine points for Muskegon while Jaila Martin scored seven points.

Muskegon (13-7, 10-2) will host Holland on Tuesday evening.
