HESPERIA — Shelby snapped a two-game losing streak with a 44-20 girls basketball victory over Hesperia in WMC Rivers action on Tuesday night.

The Tigers’ defense shut the Panthers out in the second and fourth quarters. Shelby led 25-12 at the half and 33-20 after three.
 
Molli Schultz had 12 points and Biloxi Lee tallied 11 points, 15 rebounds and three assists to lead Shelby. Kendall Zaverl added seven points and five rebounds while Brylee Friedman had five boards.
 
Shelby’s Aubrey Klotz had two assists and Kylie Brown picked off three steals.
 
Shelby (8-10, 5-4) is scheduled to travel to Holton for a conference matchup on Friday, while Hesperia (1-15, 0-9) hosts Ravenna in the conference on Thursday.
