NORTON SHORES–The Western Michigan Christian Warriors came out firing on Thursday and earned a 63-51 victory over the Muskegon Heights Tigers.

WMC had a balanced scoring attack, led by Jared Olsen with 20 points. Fisher Campbell tossed in 14 points while Kevin Jackson chipped in 10 points.

The Warriors jumped out to 12-5 lead after the first quarter. WMC took a 30-21 lead into the half by outscoring the Tigers 18-16 in the second stanza.

Muskegon Heights stayed within striking distance and ended the third period trailing the Warriors, 47-39.

WMC held the upper hand during the final minutes, 16-12, to secure its third win of the year.

Cartier Vance and Jaquan Matthews led Muskegon Heights with 18 points apiece.

Western Michigan Christian (3-12) will travel to Hart on Tuesday.

Muskegon Heights (2-9) will travel to Fremont on Monday.
