REED CITY–For the second time in four days, the White Cloud Indians and Reed City Coyote girls basketball teams faced off on the court.

They met on Friday and again on Tuesday, although this time was in the Central State Activities Association tournament on Tuesday evening.  The Coyotes came out on top 35-18.

Reed City won the Friday night contest by a 35-17 score.

Needless to say, both offenses struggled. The Indians’ now have a five-game losing streak in which scoring points has been difficult.

White Cloud managed to take a 5-3 lead after the first quarter and led 11-9 at the half.

Reed City took a commanding 27-13 lead after three quarters and went on to outscore White Cloud 8-5 during the fourth.

Christina Malackanich led Reed City with a game-high 15 points while Kyleigh Weck tossed in nine points.

Gaby Reeve led White Cloud with eight points.

White Cloud (8-12, 4-7) is scheduled to be back in action Thursday evening. The opponent and site has yet to be determined.
