REED CITY–It hasn’t been a good week for the White Cloud girls’ offense.

They scored 24 points in a loss on Tuesday, and on they fell to the Reed City Coyotes, 35-17, in a Central State Athletic Association matchup.

The Coyotes jumped out to a 10-4 lead by the end of the first quarter and went into halftime with a 24-8 lead.

Reed City held a 9-6 third-quarter scoring edge and neither team generated much offense during the final eight minutes. White Cloud outscored the Coyotes 3-2.

Christina Malackanich led Reed City with a game-high 13 points while Morgan Hammond tossed in nine points.

Gaby Reeve led White Cloud with eight points and Jaden Gomez tossed in five points.

Reed City (9-11, 5-5) and White Cloud (8-11, 4-6) will both play next Tuesday in the first round of the Central State Activities Association playoffs. Game times, opponents and sites have yet to be determined.
