SCOTTVILLE – White Cloud’s boys basketball team stormed past Hesperia in their Division 3 district semifinal matchup on Wednesday, 65-33.

The game was played at Mason County Central.

White Cloud, which improves to 13-9 overall, advances to Friday’s district championship game against Shelby, which defeated Mason County Central in the other semifinal matchup. 

White Cloud didn’t waste any time asserting itself against the Panthers by jumping out to a 17-7 lead after one quarter and taking a 31-17 advantage into the half. 

White Cloud flourished with balanced scoring as the Indians had three players in double figures, led by Jared Watson with 13 points. Jayden Robins and Noah Robinson each scored 11 and Kevin Straight contributed nine.

Hesperia’s Maddox Mosley connected on five 3-pointers and finished with 21 points. The Panthers finish their season with a 4-18 record.
