FRUITPORT — The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls earned a spot in Friday’s Division 4 district final with a 50-22 victory over Grand Rapids Sacred Heart on Wednesday.

The Eagles will take on Muskegon Catholic for the district crown.

On Wednesday, Calvary grabbed a four-point lead after one quarter then shut out Sacred Heart in the second quarter to take a 24-8 lead into the half. A 17-6 scoring advantage pushed the Eagles ahead 41-14 after three quarters.

Kamea Sutherland led the Eagles with 17 points and three assists. She made seven of her eight shots from the field.

Nora Pollock added 11 points, 11 rebounds, six steals and five assists. Pollock broke her season record for steals that she set a year ago. She now has 115 steals.

Lilly Northon led GR Sacred Heart with eight points.

Calvary is now 11-12 on the season.
