MARTIN — The Fruitport Calvary Christian Eagles’ offense was in high gear right from the opening tip on Thursday night.

It was so good that the Eagles, winners of three straight games, had 60-25 lead at the half then coasted to an 83-36 victory over host Martin.

The game had a running clock early in the third quarter.

Bradley Richards led Calvary with 33 points and 10 rebounds. Gabe VanBaale added 17 points and 12 rebounds. Ben Pollock had a career-high 11 points and eight assists. Sam Zelenka and Quinn Swanson each had nine points.

“Our boys are a very tight knit family and playing at a high level for each other at the right time, and we are really looking forward to the playoffs, It should be fun,” Calvary coach Brad Richards said.
 
Martin was led by Ken Ribble with 14 points.
 
Calvary Christian finished 13-9 and takes on Muskegon Catholic in the Division 4 district semifinals on Wednesday.
