GRANT — Kent City celebrated Senior Night in a rather unique way on Thursday night before its 57-47 victory over Grant.

Recently, the Eagles’ Senior Night was postponed so Grant stepped up and allowed the Eagles to honor their seniors on the Tigers’ home court. Additionally, injured Eagle Kyler Larson was permitted to score on layup to start the game before he was pulled out.

“It was a fun game where both teams played all their kids and nobody got hurt,” Kent City coach Dave Ingles said.

Grant led 16-12 after the first quarter, Kent City came back and took a 26-25 lead into the half. The lead grew to four points after three quarters.

Jaret Jaramillo led the Eagles (13-8) with 19 points. Seth Vanderwest added 12.

Kent City takes on Holton at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. That game is at Holton.

Grant plays Newaygo at 7 p.m. Monday at Comstock Park.
