MUSKEGON — The Kent City Eagles spoiled the home opener for the Oakridge Eagles on Monday with a 10-7 extra inning victory.

Nine Kent City hits and nine Oakridge walks walks highlighted the victory for the visitors.

Ryan Darling and Webb Longcore had two hits each for Kent City. Darling also scored three runs and knocked in one. Longcore scored a run and knocked in two runs. The winning pitcher for Kent City Kyler Larson, who pitched the seventh and eighth innings. He also had a key double in the eighth inning.

Oakridge, which had seven hits, was led by Matt Danicek and Arturo Romero-Serrano with two hits and two runs each. Evan Miller had a two-run double. Brody Jennings and Romero-Serrano each knocked in a run.
