MUSKEGON — A cold-shooting night by the Muskegon Community College Lady Jayhawks led to a 53-44 loss to Grand Rapids Community College in the opening-round of regional play on Tuesday night.
 
The Lady Jayhawks had trouble scoring, especially in the opening half, led to a 17-point deficit at the half.
 
MCC battled back in the second half and outscored the Raiders 28-20, but it wasn’t enough to move on to the second round of regionals.
 
Calla Miller and Emmerson Goodin led the Jayhawks with 16 points each.
 
Muskegon Community College finished 19-8, 10-4 in the conference, which was good for third place.
