CEDAR SPRINGS — Relentless defense on the part of the Mona Shores Sailors produced a 65-49 victory over host Cedar Springs on Thursday night.

The Sailors were well aware of the long-range shooting prowess of Cedar Springs and limited them to 21 percent shooting from behind the 3-point line.

Jordan Bledsoe led Mona Shores with 24 points and four steals. Ryan Opsommer added 16 points and three steals. Daryl Robinson added nine points. In his season debut after an injury, Madden Flanders added a vital 3-pointer for the Sailors.

The Sailors play at 6 p.m. Monday at Grand Rapids Union in the start of Division 1 district action.
