MUSKEGON — The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball completed its season with a 65-64 setback to Mid-Michigan College.

The Jayhawks, who have suffered through numerous injuries all season long, played without two starters against Mid-Michigan.

MCC had a solid shooting half and built up a 35-26 lead. The second half was a different story as Mid-Michigan forced turnovers and battled back to take a five-point lead with 11 minutes remaining. A quick scoring surge by MCC put them up by 11 points with 8 minutes remaining.

There were 11 lead changes down the stretch. In the end, MCC missed the front end of a one-and-one free throw and fell by a single point.

Vern Nash led MCC with 26 points, four rebounds, five steals and three assists. Jacob May added 17 points while Jarvin Graham had 1- points, five rebounds, five steals and five assists.

The Jayhawks finished their season with an overall record of 9-19.
