HOWARD CITY –The Fremont girls soccer team dropped an 8-6 soccer non-conference matchup to Tri-County on Friday evening.

The Packers went down early as Tri-County built a 3-0 lead early into the first half. 

Riley Chase netted three goals to help get the Packers into the game and go into the half down 4-3.

However, Tri-County again came out strong with three more goals early in the second half to stretch the deficit further.

The Packers battled back with another pair of goals from Chase and a score by Mia Clemence. The Packers were again down by just one goal, 7-6.

Tri-County buried a final insurance goal.

Kate Mellema made one first half save in the net while Hallie Snyder made five saves in the second half.

Fremont (4-3-1) will visit Orchard View on Monday.
