MANISTEE- The Fremont Packers claimed first place in Monday’s West Michigan Conference golf jamboree.

The Packers shot a 173 at the seven-team event at Manistee National Golf & Resort.

The Manistee Chippewas finished second with a 179. The Ludington Orioles settled for a third-place finish with a round of 181.

The remainder of team scores included: Whitehall (187), Oakridge (198), Montague (206) and Orchard View (274).

Manistee junior Jacob Scharp was at the top of individual leaderboard with a round 33. Ludington senior Nate Wagner and Manistee freshman Max Sharp each shot rounds of 40. Fremont junior Kaden Drozd ended the day with a 41.

Other top ten performances included: Fremont junior Killian Prewitt, who finished in fifth place (42) and his teammate junior Alex Kortage (43). Also shooting a 43 were Whitehall sophomore Brady Tate and Orchard View junior Ethan Hodges. Whitehall senior Landon Griffin and Ludington senior Ryan Millspaugh rounded out the top ten with rounds of 46.
