Freshman bags three goals to lead North Muskegon over Hart in soccer

NORTH MUSKEGON — North Muskegon freshman Alex Johnson scored the first goal of her career and went on to record a hat trick Wednesday afternoon.

That led the Norse to a 5-0 victory over Hart in the West Michigan Conference.

Norsemen seniors Jaley Schultz and Sam Johnson each scored a goal, their first of the season.

North Muskegon was on the attack most of the game as it scored three goals in the first half and two goals in the second half.

Hart goalkeeper Mya Chickering had 22 saves.

North Muskegon (1-1-1) will be at Spring Lake on Friday.

Hart (0-2) will travel to Wyoming Potters House Christian on Friday.
