FREMONT –The Fremont girls tennis team snapped a losing streak years in the making with a draw against Grant on Wednesday afternoon.

The Packers and Tigers tied, 4-4. Grant has had the Packers’ number in recent years in tennis.

Three out of the eight flights were decided in the third set by a 10-point tie breaker. 

Korinna Cook-Hansen won at No. 4 singles and Georgia Sparks and Bree Grove won at No. 2 doubles.

Also in doubles action, Hannah Moore and Lorelei Davis won at No. 3 doubles while Kyra DeAugustine and Chelsey Rasmussen won at No. 4.

Fremont travels to Grand Rapids Union on Thursday.

Grant will compete in the NorthPointe Christian Invitational on Saturday.
