HART — Hart swept a baseball doubleheader with Holton at home Tuesday, 15-0 and 17-1 in their West Michigan Conference Rivers Division opener at Hart.

The Pirates rapped out 15 hits in the first game, which was called after three innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
 
Blake Weirich picked up the win on the mound for the Pirates. He struck out eight of the 12 batters he faced.
 
Carter Ramseyer was the Pirates’ leading hitter with three hits, three RBI and three runs scored. Ty Schlukebir and Brandan Hiddema had two hits each.
 
In the nightcap, the Pirates pounded out 17 hits in a game that was also stopped after four innings because of the mercy rule.
 
Schlukebir was the winning pitcher. He worked three innings and gave up just two hits and struck out five. Ramseyer threw the last inning. The only run Holton scored was unearned.
 
Weirich paced the Pirates offense with four hits, three that went for extra bases, and three RBI. Ramseyer had three hits and drove in two runs. Kyan Clark had two hits, both of which went for extra bases, while Noah Smith and Halen Boos had finished the game with two hits apiece.
 
Hart (5-2, 2-0) are scheduled to host Manistee in a crossover doubleheader on Friday.

The Red Devils are scheduled to host Muskegon Catholic Central on Friday.
