SPARTA — The Kent City Eagles posted one victory and one tie in Saturday baseball action.

The Eagles tied host Sparta 6-6 in a game in which the Spartans scored five in the first inning. That forced Kent City to play catchup the rest of the way.

Kyler Larson had three hits, including a home run and a double, for the Eagles. He also knocked in two runs. Troy Atwood had two RBI.

In the loss to Coopersville, the Eagles scored four runs in the opening and that was in an 11-4 loss to Coopersville.

Larson had two hits and two RBI for Kent City.
