REED CITY–The Mason County Eastern Cardinals boys and girls track teams participated in the Reed City Coyote Invitational on Saturday held at Reed City High School

In the girls’ division, MCE finished with 36 points, which was good for sixth place. In the boys’ division, the Cardinals finished with 32.5 points for eighth place in the 11-team field.

Kingsley won the girls’ division with 176 points while Traverse City St. Francis came in second with 150 points and Buckley was third with 111 points.

In the boys’ division, host Reed City took the top spot with 138 points while Traverse City St. Francis came in second with 120.5 and Kingsley took third with 99.

Top individual performances for the Cardinal girls included:

200 Meters – Isabella Gulembo (9th)

400 Meters – Isabella Gulembo (7th)

3200 Meters – Eline Cochereau (6th)

100m Hurdles – Payton Haynes (1st) and Maria Pancho Gomez (10th)

300m Hurdles – Payton Haynes (6th)

Pole Vault – Payton Haynes (2nd)

100 Meters – Dakota Matzen (8th)

800 Meters – Nathan Wing (2nd)

3200 Meters – Alex Tyndall (1st)

110m Hurdles – Ron Hasenbank (7th)
