NORTON SHORES – The Mona Shores girls soccer team had a dominating day against Fruitport on Saturday afternoon.

The Sailors defeated the Trojans 3-0. The Sailors had 17 shots compared to two for the Trojans.

Ella Kinney led the way with a pair of goals and an assist while Lilly Houle added a goal and an assist. Shay Norden chipped in with an assist.

The defensive line of Lauren Hylland, Emma Andrewson, Ali Phillips and Annie Zambon helped limit the Trojans’ chances.

Goalkeeper Jersey VanderWall earned her fourth shutout of the season.

Mona Shores (4-1, 2-0) will be at home on Tuesday to face Grand Rapids Union in OK Conference-Green action.

Fruitport (3-1, 2-0) will visit Hudsonville Unity Christian for OK Conference-Blue play on Monday.
