GRAND HAVEN – The Mona Shores girls lacrosse team went 1-2 at the Grand Haven play day on Saturday.

The Sailors opened with a tight 7-6 victory against Grandville, but dropped the next two against Haslett, 10-4, and Midland, 9-8.

Emma Reelman led the Sailors with eight goals while Lainee Carmean and Kennedy Hynde added four goals and three goals, respectively.

Elana Kass and Alison Fritz netted one goal each.

Goalkeeper Alex Keurth accumulated 15 saves on the day. Kyra Poindexter made her first varsity start in the net and stopped five shots.

Mona Shores will host Lowell on Monday for a league matchup.
