MUSKEGON – The Mona Shores girls lacrosse team had a record senior day with a commanding win against Jenison on Saturday.

The Sailors won with a school record of goals scored, 19-5.

“The game just flowed,” said coach Chip Vasquez. “Everything was flowing. When your timing and decision making is right, goals come easy.”

The seniors did their part on the day celebrating their contributions.

Allison Fritz netted four goals and two assists while Jessica Eenigenburg had three and Lauren Nelson had one.

Sophomore Emma Reelman led the way with five goals and four assists. Sophomore Reese Smith added three goals.

Also, sophomores Jordyn Briseno and Lainee Carmean each posted a goal.

Alex Kuerth earned four saves in the net for the Sailors.

“I think we are ready to take that next step. A complete game from start to finish,” said Vasquez.

Mona Shores (5-7, 3-2) will hit the road to Hudsonville for league action on Wednesday.
