Mona Shores lacrosse team upends Jenison, 13-5

JENISON – The Mona Shores girls lacrosse team came back from spring break with a convincing victory over Jenison on Monday evening.

The Sailors earned a 13-5 victory.

Lainee Carmean played a solid game and finished with three goals, four ground balls, four draw controls and two assists.

Emma Reelman added a hat trick of her own while Kenedey Hynde scored two goals.

Also, Jordyn Briseno, Reese Smith, Ava Hower, Elana Kass and Lauren Nelson scored one each.

Mona Shores (2-4, 2-2) will travel to face the defending Division 2 state champion, East Grand Rapids, on Friday.
