Mona Shores opens league play with softball sweep of Holland

 

NORTON SHORES–The Mona Shores Sailors kicked off the OK-Green softball season with a pair of victories over Holland. Shores won the opener, 14-4, and the nightcap, 15-0.

 

In the first game, Kristen Hylland allowed four hits, struck out two and earned the victory on the mound.

 

Brooklyn Graham, Hannah Geoghan and Amelia Pena had two hits each. Pena knocked in four runs.

 

In the nightcap, Grace Michelli was the winning pitcher. She allowed one hit and struck out three.

 

Michelli, Pena and Graham had two hits each. Pena knocked in three more runs.

 

The Sailors are 2-1 overall, 2-0 in league play.
