MUSKEGON – The Mona Shores girls soccer team sits atop the OK Conference-Green after a 2-1 victory over Reeths-Puffer on Thursday evening.
Ava Freye gave the Sailors the go-ahead score with less than two minutes to play off of an assist by Ali Trautner.
Shay Norden netted a single score.
Lauren Hylland, Emma Anderson, Mal Hogston and Addison Fisher played solid defense.
Goalkeeper Jersey VanderWall stopped four shots.
Mona Shores (7-1-1, 4-0-1) will take on Muskegon Tuesday.
Reeths-Puffer (6-3-3, 4-1-1) is set to travel to Holland on Tuesday.
