Saturday was certainly a rarity for Muskegon Catholic Central as it got swept in a baseball doubleheader.

West Michigan Aviation won the first game 2-0 and the nightcap, 9-4.

Brandon Mowey threw a one-hitter against MCC in the five-inning opener. For the Crusaders, Bryan Convertinin allowed just two hits and was saddled with the loss. Croix Klint had the lone hit for MCC.

]In the nightcap, Crusader pitcher Dewey Modaff was cruising along until the fourth inning when West Michigan Aviation plated seven runs, five of which were unearned. Modaff had three hits for MCC.

Muskegon Catholic is now 8-3-1 on the season.
