MUSKEGON–The Muskegon Community College women’s softball team had a rough day on Tuesday and dropped a pair of softball games to Lake Michigan Community College.
 
The host Jayhawks were blanked 7-0 in the opener and lost 10-9 in the nightcap.
 
In the opener, Brooklyn Galdeen had two hits for the Jayhawks. Brie Pastor (five innings) and Cassie Kohnke (two innings) handled the pitching duties. Galdeen took the loss.
 
In Game 2, Galdeen gave up seven earned runs in seven innings of work.
 
The Jayhawks flexed some hitting muscle with three home runs. Jasmine Pastor had three hits, including a pair of home runs. She had two RBI. Brie Pastor had two hits and five RBI. She belted a grand slam home run and had a double. Aaliyah Calkins had two hits, two runs scored and three stolen bases.
 
MCC is 8-16 on the season.
