MUSKEGON — The Muskegon Community College mens’ baseball team battled from behind for much of game before falling, 7-6, to Jackson Community College.

MCC fell behind by four runs in the first inning and started its comeback with a sacrifice fly by Nate Lovell and a single by Cole Olson in the first inning. A run-scoring single by Olson, his first of three hits, in the third and an RBI groundout by Luke Linder in the seventh. Bryce Lesher smacked a home run in the ninth.

An RBI-double by Jackson plated what proved to be the winning run in the eighth.

Christian Hoffman was the starting pitcher for the Jayhawks. He lasted four innings and allowed four runs on eight hits. He struck out three and did not allow a walk. 

Jayhawks totaled 12 hits. Abdiel Gonzalez, Mason Brunworth and Lesher each had two hits for Jayhawks.
