GRAND RAPIDS — Troy McManus and Ryan Delora pitched the North Muskegon baseball team to a pair of wins Saturday at the Forest Hills Eastern Invitational in Grand Rapids.

The Norsemen defeated Forest Hills Central 3-1 in the first game and notched a 7-2 win over Forest Hills Eastern in the second contest.
 
In the first game, McManus allowed just one run on one hit, did not give up a walk and struck out eight in the Norsemen’s victory over Forest Hills Central.
 
Ben Meyers was the Norsemen’s leading hitter with two doubles. He scored one run and had one RBI.
 
McManus contributed one hit and got on base with a walk, and T.J. Byard added one hit, had a walk and scored two runs.
 
In the second game, Delora also threw seven complete innings against FHE. He scattered five hits, allowed three walks and struck out 10.
 
Carter Meiler paced the Norsemen at the plate against FHE with two hits, one RBI and one run scored. Delora drove in two runs and Ben Meyers had a hit and scored two runs. McManus added one RBI, while Denny Belmonte also had a hit, a double, and scored a run for the Norsemen.
 
North Muskegon improved to 8-3 and hosts Ravenna in a West Michigan Conference Rivers Division doubleheader Tuesday.
