GRANDVILLE–North Muskegon dropped a pair of softball games to Grandville Calvin Christian on Thursday afternoon, 15-0 and 7-4.

The Norse lost the opener in four innings.

Maddy Balon took the mound for North Muskegon and gave up 12 hits while striking out three in three innings. Mattie Houseman threw the final inning and gave up two hits.  

In the nightcap, Calvin Christian came from behind to earn the victory.
 
Balon started the game for North Muskegon. The righthander allowed eight hits and seven runs over five innings, while striking out two.
 
Rylee Cooper gave North Muskegon an early lead with a first-inning home run.
 
North Muskegon put up three runs in the third inning.  Audrey Brown, Mattie Houseman, and Lidia Carty each had RBI in the inning.
 
Calvin Christian took the lead in the fourth inning and shut down the Norse the rest of the way.
 
Balon led North Muskegon with two hits.
