WHITEHALL — Bay City John Glenn won its two games while North Muskegon was 1-1 and Whitehall as 0-2 in a three-team baseball invitational played at Whitehall on Saturday.

North Muskegon defeated Whitehall, 16-1. Then Bay City John Glenn defeated North Muskegon, 5-3 then John Glenn beat the host Vikings, 7-4.

In the opening game, six Norsemen knocked in at least two runs in the victory. Ben Meyers led the way with three hits, including a home run and a triple, and three RBI. Denny Belmonte had three hits, including a double and Sam Gallo had a single and a double and knocked in three runs.

Troy McManus was the winning pitcher with one run allowed and five strikeouts in four innings of work.

Landon Howe had a double for Whitehall.

In the final game of the day between Bay City John Glenn and Whitehall, Brock Morningstar had three hits while Ryne Christensen and Howe each added for the Vikings. All three had a double.
