The Oakridge Eagles plated seven runs in the second inning on Thursday and cruised to a 13-3 softball victory over Newaygo in nonconference play.

The Eagles (4-0) added three more runs in the third and three in the fourth to turn the game into a rout.

Kaelinn Jozsa and Kylee Willea each pitched three innings for the Eagles.

Leaders at the plate included Brenna Cabrera with three hits, one a double, and three RBI, Jozsa with a home run, a single and two RBI and Gracie Clark and Madison Clark with a double and a single. Willea also belted a two-run homer.
 
Sydnee Kirk had two singles and Addison Goodin had a double for Newaygo.
