BYRON CENTER — The Oakridge Eagles are on a roll in girls’ softball.

On Thursday, the Eagles (9-1) traveled to Byron Center for a non-league doubleheader and posted a narrow 6-5 victory in the opener and 10-3 in the nightcap. The second game was halted in the sixth inning when bad weather moved in.

In the first game, Gracie Clark belted a home run in the seventh inning to key the Eagle victory. She also had a double in the game. Brenna Cabrera had two hits, one a home run, and two RBI. Ahria Doornbos had two hits and knocked in a pair of runs. Gracie Willea added two singles.

Kaelinn Jozsa pitched a complete game and earned the victory. She allowed seven hits and struck out four.

In the nightcap, Kylee Willea was the winning pitcher. She allowed six hits and struck out two.

Cabrera belted another home run, this time with two aboard. Clark added a home run, a single and two RBI. Doornbos had a pair of doubles. Josza had a two-run homer and Andrea Romero had two singles.
