MUSKEGON — The Reeths-Puffer Rockets had a big day at the plate in sweeping a pair of baseball games from the Muskegon Big Reds.

The Rockets won the opener, 17-0, and the nightcap 15-0. Both games lasted just three innings.

In the opener, Trent Reichert pitched three innings and did not allow a hit. He struck out eight.

The Rockets scored four runs in the opening inning and 13 in the second. Jaxon Whitaker had three hits, including a home run and a double. David Wilhelm also had three hits.

In the nightcap, Kyle Schlaff and Caiden Theisen combined to strike out six and allow no walks. Wilhelm and Quinn Alderink had two hits each for Reeths-Puffer, which hosts Muskegon at 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
