WYOMING — The Reeths-Puffer Rockets lost a tough game in the opener and fell in the second game in contest that was shortened due to darkness.

On the opener, Wyoming’s Seth Moore singled in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning in the Wolves’ 5-4 victory. In the nightcap, Wyoming led 8-3 when darkness set in and the game was called.

In Game 1, Kyle Schlaff had a double and two singles for the Rockets. Chase Smith contributed two hits. Jaxson Whitaker pitched six strong innings and struck out seven.

The Game 2, Wyoming scored four runs in the third and fourth innings to grab the lead. The Rockets plated three runs in the fifth, but soon, after darkness set in.
