Spring Lake girls run by West Catholic in home track meet

SPRING LAKE–The Spring Lake Girls girls track and field had a strong start to the season with an 88-49 win over West Catholic last Thursday.

First-place finishers were Alana Mazurek in the 100-meter dash and long jump with personal records of 13.67 seconds and 15-11 1/2.

Other winners included Catherine Vandergriff in the 200-meter dash, Meghan Guczwa in the 400-meter dash, Kyla Meyers in the 800-meter run and 1,600m run, Lily Parker in the 3,200-meter run, Jordan Smith in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal record time of 19.89 seconds, Addi Tober in the 300 hurdles, and Hannah Brown in the shot put.

Additionally, the 4×400-meter relay team of (Meyers, Giselle Cossey, Charlise Carlson, Guczwa) and 4×800-meter relay team of (Meyers, Sophie Van Ittersum, Guczwa, Parker) teams both took first place.
