RAVENNA–The Ravenna Bulldogs earned a softball doubleheader sweep over Mona Shores on Thursday.

The Bulldogs won the opener 9-2 and the nightcap, 11-1 in five innings.

In Game 1, Emma Gillard picked up the victory on the mound. She allowed two runs on four hits and two walks. She struck out four.

Emma Herremans led Ravenna with three hits while Gillard had two. Emily Postema had a pair of doubles.

Mona Shores was led by Kylie Geoghan with two hits. Grace Michelli took the loss on the mound.

In the nightcap, Riley Homoly was the winning pitcher. She gave up one run on five hits and struck out three. She helped her own cause at the plate with two hits.

Gillard had three hits, one a triple, to lead Ravenna’s hitting attack. Herremans had a triple and a double while Ellie Solem had a double. 

For Mona Shores, Addison Huffman had two hits. Kristen Hylland took the loss on the mound.
