The Western Michigan Christian Warriors defeated North Muskegon 6-5 in Game 1 of a baseball doubleheader on Thursday.

The second game was tied at 5-all in the fifth inning when bad weather moved in and forced postponement.

Alex Wagenmaker was the winning pitcher for WM Christian. Jonathan Clausing belted a two-run home run and Quint Menefee had two hits and knocked in a pair of runs.

In the opener, Carson Moat led North Muskegon with a home run and two RBI. Ben Meyers had a double and scored a run.

Sam Gallos allowed six runs on seven hits and five walks in five innings of work. He struck out four. John Caliendo had one strikeout in one inning of work.

In the nightcap, Troy McManus and Ryan Delora had two hits each for North Muskegon. Moat knocked in three runs and Meyers had a triple.

Clausing had a two-run double to spark the Warriors.
