WHITEHALL–Whitehall scored nine runs in the sixth inning and cruised to a 15-7 West Michigan Conference softball victory over host Montague.
The second game was suspended due to darkness with the game tied, 19-19.
In the first game, the Vikings had 14 hits. Lianne Fagan, Evie Darke, Megan LeaTrea, Taylor Ottinger and Hailey Carnes had three hits each.
Game 2 featured 38 runs, 21 hits and 15 errors. The game will be completed at a date to be determined.
